STERIDEX
Steridex is a
tough, highly durable, matt finish, plastics based decorative
coating which protects against the growth of micro-organisms
such as mould, fungi, yeasts and bacteria on its surface.
Its anti-microbial system does not leach out, unlike those
of traditional fungicidal paints, and it therefore remains
safe and active throughout the life of the product. Steridex
is highly elastomeric - expanding and contracting with thermal
movements of the substrate - and has a vapour permeable
structure which allows damp substrates to dry out without
causing blistering or loss of adhesion. Backed by an international
track record of well over 25 years, Steridex is ideal for
use on ceilings and both internal and external walls, and
may be reinforced with Reemat glass fibre matting for additional
strength and durability. It produces a high build, hard
wearing membrane that will tolerate harsh cleaning agents
and other chemicals, and allows building owners to comply
with even the most stringent hygiene related legislation.
Steridex has been acknowledged or approved by a wide range
of national authorities including such organisations as
the British Ministry of Agriculture, Farming and Food (MAFF),
the Institut d’Analyses et d’Essais du Centre-Ouest in France
and the United States Department of Agriculture.
STERISHEEN
ULTRA
Sterisheen Ultra
is a tough, mid-sheen surface coating which, like other
hygiene control coatings, contains a non-leaching anti-microbial
system. It cures without any strong odour to form an attractive,
low-glare finish which is easy to clean and resistant to
attack by abrasives and other cleaning agents. It will tolerate
thermal movement without cracking, splitting or flaking
and, due to its inherent vapour permeability, allows substrate
moisture to escape without causing blisters beneath the
cured film. Sterisheen Ultra is suitable for use over internal
walls and ceilings - sometimes without the need for primers
- and may be used in areas where it is important to maintain
positive pressure. It is colour stable, resists UV induced
embrittlement and dries so rapidly that two coats can often
be applied on the same working day.
STERISEPT
Sterisept is
a single pack, gloss finish, waterborne polyurethane based
coating which is designed to enable premises to be occupied
as soon as possible after application. It develops its strength
and other key physical properties extremely quickly and
cures without the release of harmful solvents or heavy odour
- ensuring that working routines suffer minimal disruption.
It is generally self-priming and its fast curing properties
allow two coats to be applied on the same day. Like other
hygiene control coating systems, Sterisept incorporates
an effective, non-toxic anti-microbial system which protects
against the growth of micro-organisms. It achieves a dense
finish which is tough, flexible and highly tolerant of abrasives
and other harsh cleaning agents: it is therefore ideal for
use wherever hygiene is a priority but where production
or services must continue whilst the application is undertaken.
BIOCLEANSE
Biocleanse
is a multi-functional cleaning and disinfecting agent which
may be used in concentrate form or diluted as required.
Applied by mop, cloth or scrubbing brush, it is ideal for
infection control, as independent tests have proven that
it is effective against many species of bacteria and viruses.
TREATMENT
INFECTION CONTROL
For the control of infection in highly sensitive areas:
use a dilution of 1 part Biocleanse to 10 parts of water.
GENERAL
CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
For cleaning and disinfection of hard surfaces as part of
routine hygiene control: use a dilution of 1 part Biocleanse
to 50 parts of water.
HEAVY
DUTY CLEANING
For cleaning of extremely dirty or contaminated surfaces
prior to the application of hygiene control coatings,
or for the cleaning of heavily scuffed or stained coatings:
use concentrated or dilute as required.
HYGIENE SEALANT
Hygiene Sealant is a permanently flexible, waterborne acrylic
sealant which provides an effective seal between materials
where slight movement is likely to occur. It may be over-coated
with the hygiene control coatings or, alternatively,
may be applied over them, depending upon the project requirements.
It is a single component product, easy to apply and finish,
and has an in-built anti-microbial system to ensure total
continuity of protection against bacteria and other micro-organisms.
Externally, it is suitable for application over porous materials
such as brick and concrete, in addition to more inert substrates
such as GRP. It is also suitable for sealing joints in timber
framed constructions, curtain walling and expansion/compression
joints, and for pointing around windows and doors. Note,
however, that it is not suitable for use in contact with
bituminous materials and that it must be allowed to form
a surface skin before exposure to rain. Internally, it is
typically used for sealing gaps around door and window frames,
skirtings and covings and for providing a flexible seal
over gaps in plaster. Once cured, it will perform well across
a wide temperature range, offering a typical life expectancy
in excess of 10 years.
REEMAT
DECCO
Reemat
Decco is a woven glass textile mat which can be used in
conjunction with the various hygiene control coatings
to provide enhanced aesthetics without compromising the
coatings’ long-lasting protection against the growth of
micro-organisms. As the mat is embedded and totally encapsulated
into the coating systems, a completely seamless finish is
obtained, ensuring that the finished surface is both easy
to clean and compliant with all international hygiene legislation.
Reemat Decco offers excellent impact and abrasion resistance
and is available in a wide range of distinctive patterns.
